This Blog describes my first attempt at building a clay oven. I live in the UK and I thought I'd publish a Blog because clay oven info on the web seems to come mainly from the US (not that there's anything wrong with that - I've certainly found it useful). Anyway, take the plunge, build one yourself and I hope this blog helps in some small way. Cheers, Ian.

Phase 3 - Optional Extras
This section will be written very soon and will basically cover:
(i) the insulation (a necessity really),
(ii) the chimney,
(iii) a brick arch, and
(iv) a rendered weather-proof shell.
I love the job you have done here Ian. I have just finished an oven. (The first pizzas have not been cooked yet.) I have built a very basic, rustic oven in comparison with your masterpiece.
